REDFORD TWP. – House Speaker Andy Dillon (D-Redford Twp.) is adding an evening office hour to his schedule of monthly office hours to give more residents an opportunity to meet with him and his staff regarding issues important to the community.
Beginning on Monday, Jan. 28, Dillon's evening office hour will be held on the last Monday of every month at Redford's American Dining Restaurant, 26930 Plymouth Road, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. The American Dining Restaurant is a new business located on Plymouth Road between Beech Daly and Inkster. Dillon's district includes Redford Township, Livonia and Dearborn Heights. This new office hour location is centrally located in the 17th House District to make it easier for residents to attend Dillon's office hour.
"I'm scheduling an evening office hour in the hopes that it will be more convenient for residents who can't make it in the mornings or afternoons," Dillon said. "Learning about the issues that are important to our working families is crucial to me being able to do my job in Lansing. I encourage residents to come down to talk with my staff over a cup of coffee – we are here to listen."
Dillon already holds office hours three times every month throughout the 17th District:
Second Monday of every month: 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Frank's Diner, 25700 Plymouth Road in Redford Township.
Third Monday of every month: 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Leo's Coney Island, 26540 Ford Road in Dearborn Heights, and 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Redford Community Center, 12121 Hemingway in Redford Township.
Final Monday of every month: 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Livonia Civic Park Senior Center, 15218 Farmington Road in Livonia.
